This year (2013 - 2014) meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month in September, October, January and March, and on December 3 in Valdosta at The Crescent. Call (229) 242-9081 for more information.
General Information: The Valdosta Camellia and Garden Club was organized by the late Dr. W. E. Wynens on September 29, 1964. The purpose of the club is to encourage development and promotion of camellia appreciation, as well as sharing knowledge and experience in a social setting. We give "Tender Loving Care" to both Camellia gardens and Camellia friends.
Annual dues are ten dollars per person or fifteen dollars per couple.
Programs are tailored to meet the interest of those growing camellias and companion plants in the South Georgia and North Florida area. Programs include such topics as Basic Care and Maintenance, Grafting, Air-Layering; Hybridizing and Seed Propagation, Rooting, Show Preparation, Insect Control, Companion Plants for Camellias, and m uch more. Hor 'devours and finger foods are provided at each meeting.
